Why is it Called Jing Wei Qing Shang？
The characters Jing Wei 泾渭 come from the saying 《泾渭分明》 “As different as the waters of the Jing He river (泾河) and the Wei He river (渭河). This idiom originated from the contrast at the point where the clear Jing river flows into the muddy Wei river. It is often used to describe two things which are entirely different or two parties that are sharply divided.
The character Qing 情 means love/sentiment and Shang 殇 means to die young / in battle. Qing Shang 情殇 can mean a mistaken love, a tragic love, one that ended before it began.

On 12/12/2022, Yinhang Media announced that they have bought the donghua licensing rights for JWQS. The animation is set to release in 2025. The concept trailer was shortly released on Youtube and Bilibili, attracting many fans on both platforms. The Team has since posted many storyboard drafts to keep the fans engaged with the project. A music video for the donghua theme song “Whispers of the Wind” was released. Following the overwhelming support from overseas fans, the team made an English version of the song as well.
